Patient Liaison Officer

Responsibilities:

Main Responsibilities

  • The primary responsibility of the patient liaison officer is to attend to patient enquiries from various sources including private patients, internal departments, and external stakeholders.
  • This includes coordinating appointment bookings and admission requests ensuring alignment with clinical and operational requirements.
  • The officer will also be responsible for chaperoning VIP/VVIP patients to ensure a seamless hospital experience.
  • In addition, the officer will apply active listening and probing skills to understand patient needs and respond professionally to queries with clarity and empathy.
  • Maintenance of accurate updates of patient information in the system is another key responsibility of this role.
  • The officer will also support the collation of reports, statistics, and operational data.
  • Achieving compliance with hospital policies regarding data management, document filing, and disposal is essential for this position.
  • Finally, the officer will identify service gaps and escalate issues with recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

  • Diploma in any discipline is required for this role.
  • Previous experience in healthcare or service-related industries, especially in frontline or customer-facing roles is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coordination skills are essential for success in this position.
