Overview Job Scope: Business Development Executive Position Overview: The Business Development Executive (BDE) will play a crucial role in driving the growth of the food trading business by identifying new market opportunities, building relationships with clients, and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance market presence and sales. Responsibilities Market Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients, competitors, and industry trends in food trading. Analyze market data to develop insights that inform business strategies and product positioning. Client Acquisition: Develop and execute strategies for acquiring new clients in the food sector, including wholesalers, retailers, and restaurants. Prepare and present compelling proposals to prospective clients to secure contracts. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure long-term partnerships and repeat business. Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and concerns, addressing issues promptly and professionally. Sales Strategy Development: Collaborate with the sales team to develop effective sales strategies and campaigns aimed at driving revenue growth. Set and monitor sales targets, forecasts, and budgets to ensure alignment with company goals. Negotiation and Closing: Negotiate terms and pricing with clients to finalize contracts and agreements. Work to close deals effectively while maintaining profitability for the business. Collaboration with Internal Teams: Coordinate with the procurement, logistics, and marketing teams to ensure seamless operations and timely delivery of products. Provide feedback to the product development team regarding client preferences and market demands. Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market conditions, and client feedback for management review. Networking and Events: Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote the brand and generate leads. Stay updated on industry regulations and trends to ensure compliance and competitive advantage. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role within the food trading or related industry. Strong negotiation skills and experience in securing contracts. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
