Job Title:

Automotive Production Lead

As a key member of our manufacturing team, the Automotive Production Lead will oversee daily injection moulding operations to meet production schedules for automotive components. This involves allocating resources, ensuring adherence to productivity targets and cycle times, and optimizing machine settings to improve product consistency.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead Daily Operations: Oversee daily injection moulding operations to meet production schedules for automotive components.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate manpower and oversee machine operations across multiple moulding lines.
  • Productivity Optimization: Ensure strict adherence to productivity targets, cycle times, and output efficiency.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all parts produced meet automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Quality Assurance on in-process checks and non-conformance issues.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot process or equipment issues to minimize downtime.
  • Team Management: Supervise and coach a team of moulding technicians, operators, and material handlers.
  • Training: Conduct training on safe machine operation, work instructions, and 5S practices.
  • Evaluation: Evaluate team performance, manage shift handovers, and ensure discipline.
  • Maintenance: Ensure daily machine maintenance checks are performed.
  • Collaboration with Maintenance Team: Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive and corrective maintenance on injection moulding machines and auxiliary equipment.
  • Safety Regulations: Enforce safety regulations and PPE usage at all times.
  • Work Environment: Promote a clean and organized work environment (5S, Kaizen).

Requirements:

  • Experience: 3-5 yrs of injection moulding experience, preferably in automotive or precision plastic components.
  • Familiarity with Automotive Quality Tools: Familiar with IATF 16949, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and other automotive quality tools.
  • Machine Setup Expertise: Proficient in setting up machines such as Arburg, Sumitomo, Fanuc, or similar.
