Job Title: Legal Expert | Trading, Property & Corporate Law ">

About the Role:

The company is a leading player in trading and distributing steel-related products. They are also involved in developing properties, such as service apartments. We are seeking an experienced legal expert to join our team and contribute to building a strong legal function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and guidance on all aspects of Singapore law and various applicable laws, regulations, and Company rules.
  • Lead the legal assistance on business development activities, including establishment of new joint ventures, divestments, acquisitions of shares or assets.
  • Assist and advise on corporate secretarial matters, including incorporation of companies, corporate secretarial, business registration, renewal matters.
  • Draft, review, and evaluate internal policies and ensure compliance with applicable laws.

Requirements:

  • A degree in law (LLB) and called to the Singapore bar.
  • A minimum of 8-12 years of experience in either a law firm or as a legal counsel, preferably with experience in trading & distribution, property development, construction related.
  • Expertise in mergers and acquisitions, general corporate law, knowledge of litigation.
  • Able to travel to Malaysia for M&A jobs.
