RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Delegate Acquisition Manager to lead the delegate acquisition, spearheading attendee growth and delivering high-quality delegate audiences. This is a commercial, target-driven role ideal for someone with strong business acumen and experience in strategic delegate acquisition for B2B events.
Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute a comprehensive delegate acquisition strategy to achieve high-volume, high-quality attendance targets.
- Analyze industry segments, prioritise high-value decision-makers, and forecast attendance to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
Lead Generation & Market Mapping
- Source and qualify new, high-potential leads beyond existing databases through research, networking, and industry partnerships.
- Map out untapped sectors and decision-maker networks to expand reach and drive attendance.
Outreach & Conversion
- Engage senior stakeholders across the different profiles of the ecosystem through phone, email, LinkedIn, and other channels.
- Deliver persuasive, tailored messaging that clearly communicates the value of attending the event.
- Convert leads into confirmed delegates while maintaining high engagement and quality standards.
Partnerships & Collaboration
- Collaborate with marketing, content, and partnership teams to align campaigns, messaging, and lead-generation activities.
- Identify strategic partnerships with associations, networks, and industry groups to amplify delegate recruitment.
Analysis & Reporting
- Monitor KPIs, track progress against acquisition targets, and adjust strategies in real-time to optimize results.
- Provide post-event insights to inform future delegate acquisition strategies and improve overall effectiveness.
REQUIREMENTS
- At least 5 years of experience in outbound telemarketing, cold calling, and high-volume lead generation across diverse industries and geographies (e.g. APAC, Middle East, US).
- 2-4 years' proven success in B2B delegate acquisition, audience development, or business development for training courses, conferences, or B2B events.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed call volumes (100+ daily) and deliver high lead conversion rates across complex sales cycles.
- Track record of hitting aggressive acquisition and revenue targets in fast-paced, metrics-driven environments.
- Exposure to consultative and problem-based selling frameworks (e.g., SPIN), with the ability to tailor solutions to executive-level stakeholders.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience engaging decision-makers from enterprise-level and multinational organizations.
- Excellent communication and persuasion skills, with confidence in speaking to C-level executives and handling gatekeepers.
- Skilled in researching and building qualified lead lists from scratch, including leveraging tools like LinkedIn and industry directories.
- Highly organized, self-driven, and adaptable in dynamic, launch-focused team settings.
- Comfortable navigating technical or specialized industries such as healthcare, energy, transportation, and telecommunications, with the ability to quickly grasp key industry pain points and trends.
