Job Overview

The role of Assistant Manager, Inpatient Operations involves overseeing daily ward operations, managing administrative tasks, and collaborating with stakeholders to resolve system/process issues.

This position entails reviewing and enhancing key processes to improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and resource utilization. The successful candidate will monitor and recommend strategies to achieve high customer satisfaction ratings.

The Assistant Manager will also coordinate with Nursing and Operational Support Services on infrastructure projects to ensure minimal disruption, adherence to hospital standards, and timely completion.

Responsibilities include managing hospital requirements related to annual planning cycles, collaborating on special projects, committees, and workgroups, and driving implementation of improvement initiatives.

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate should possess a minimum degree in any discipline and prior healthcare experience is an advantage. Key skills required include budgeting, Microsoft Office, operational excellence, customer experience, quality improvement, inventory management, healthcare expertise, recruiting, service recovery, communication skills, nursing knowledge, customer satisfaction, human resources, customer service, scheduling, and financial reporting.
