Senior Construction Cost Estimator

The Senior Construction Cost Estimator is responsible for conducting feasibility studies to estimate materials, time and labor costs. This involves preparing, negotiating, and analyzing costs for tenders and contracts. The role also requires coordination of work effort, advising on legal and contractual issues, and valuing completed work while arranging for payments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing contract documents, including bills of quantities with architects and/or clients.
- Undertaking cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work.
- Assisting in establishing client requirements and undertaking feasibility studies.
- Performing risk management, value management, and cost control during construction.
- Providing advice on contractual claims and disputes.
- Tracking changes to design and/or construction work, and adjusting budget projections accordingly.
- Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Polytechnic Diploma in Construction and Built Environment Industry.
- Proven working experience in Quantity Surveying.
- Strong understanding of construction, material, and contract law.
- Skills in project management and budgeting are essential.
