The Caravan is seeking a Junior Graphic Designer to join their team in Delhi, India. As a part of The Caravan, you will be working in the realm of publication design, specifically focusing on magazine design. The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelors degree or diploma in Visual Communication/Graphic Design from a reputed design institute and possess 1 to 2 years of experience in publication design, with a preference for magazine design background. Experience in illustration is highly valued for this role.The Caravan, a distinctive Indian magazine, is known for its in-depth reportage and engaging narrative style that covers a wide range of topics including politics, culture, and art. Published by the esteemed Delhi Press Group, which has a legacy dating back to 1939 and currently publishes 33 magazines in 10 languages, The Caravan showcases a unique blend of storytelling and journalistic excellence.As a Junior Graphic Designer at The Caravan, your responsibilities will include working on magazine layouts, covers, and illustrations for both print and web platforms. Collaborating with the creative director, you will ideate and create design elements for various sections of the magazine and social media platforms. Additionally, you will be involved in designing layouts for the website, newsletters, interactive stories, and more.Key skills required for this role include a high level of proficiency in Adobe software such as InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, the ability to create innovative layouts for text and image-based stories, and familiarity with modern web and social media design trends. Attention to detail is crucial for this position.Candidates with experience in UI/UX design and illustration are encouraged to apply.
