About The Role
We are looking for a self-motivated Junior Legal Counsel/Paralegal with excellent interpersonal skills and strong business acumen who will provide advisory on a wide breadth of topics translating into immediate impact for Circles’ hypergrowth. The successful candidate will report to the General Counsel and work in an entrepreneurial environment within a fun, energetic team driving digital disruption in telecommunications. The role may involve legal advisory related to product development, expansion into new markets, privacy, security, and compliance. This is a group-level role based in Singapore.
What You’ll Be Doing
Provide support to stakeholders and business units on contract and internal compliance matters
Assist with corporate secretarial matters and administration, including drafting resolutions and managing external providers
Support the Legal team in drafting, reviewing and editing contracts including non-disclosure and service agreements
Edit and proofread contracts, formal correspondence, and legal filings to ensure compliance with legislation and regulations
Conduct legal research, monitor legislation impacting the company
Draft and update compliance policies and monitor adherence
Provide training on the group’s legal and compliance policies
Organize and maintain legal files, records, and documents
Manage databases and tracking systems
Provide administrative support for the legal department (scheduling, minutes, claims, filing, and general day-to-day tasks)
Who You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree in law or Diploma in law
Qualified to practice law in at least one APAC country (preferred) with the willingness to learn new areas of law
At least 3–4 years’ experience, preferably in tech/digital spaces or related corporate experience
Passion for technology businesses and knowledge of the latest developments in the space
Knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to the TMT space is a bonus
Ability to navigate in highly ambiguous environments
Willingness to work with all levels of the organization and to “roll up your sleeves”
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to foster/manage cross-department relationships
