RESPONSIBILITIES Management of all international assignments (outbounds and inbounds) for the Region Asia Pacific South in coordination with the respective Global Mobility Partner and the associated Regional Mobility Partner of the home or host country of the international assignee. Ensure international assignments comply with Evonik's Global Expat Policy and applicable regional specific regulations as well as with the laws and regulations of the countries where the employees will be working. Identify conflicts between local and global regulations and contribute to resolutions in cooperation with the Global Mobility Center. Coordinate with local 3rd party providers to ensure smooth relocation including temporary and permanent house search, settling down including handling registrations with authorities, opening bank accounts, school registration of children, orientation on site for daily life (shopping, leisure, traffic, etc.), follow up on logistics of relocation including shipping of household goods, support international assignees regarding cultural specifics of APS (customs, norms, and expectations of the country they will be working in). Issue local contracts to international assignees, drive the process of obtaining visas and work permits for international assignees into APS. Provide necessary information to all parties involved to ensure correct taxation of income and benefits of international assignees. Act as the direct contact of Global Mobility to the expat, support with onboarding, open questions on employment contract and working & living in the country etc. Advise Global Mobility Center, Employees and Managers on immigration and visa requirements for APS, contribute to and implement international assignment life cycle processes like home leave budget review, housing budget review, update calculations etc. Contribute regional specifics and requirements to the development of Evonik's International Assignment policies and philosophy. REQUIREMENTS Degree in HR, preferably with a focus on international assignments and HRM. At least 5 years of professional experience in HR Management, including at least 2 years in the field of international postings. Experience in the way global corporations work, understanding of the structures and working methods in such corporations, ability to understand complex structures and processes, ability to analyze them and contribute to improvements. Works in a self-directed and organized way in daily life, with supervision from a distance, high level of self-motivation and responsibility, result-orientation. Ability to work with employees at different hierarchical levels and cultural backgrounds; negotiation skills to explain, represent, and implement regulations, standing with employees and superiors. Sensitivity to the challenges of international work assignments and sensitivity in dealing with employees in the different phases of their assignments. Enjoyment of working with different cultures. Excellent knowledge of English, written and spoken. Good knowledge of employment contract drafting, maintenance of HRM systems (workday), and common office systems.
