Singapore Teach For All Full time

Position Summary The global Teach For All network is looking for a dynamic and strategic leader to support a diverse group of network and prospective partner organizations in the Asia Pacific region. As the Regional Director, Network Engagement for APAC, you will steward Teach For All engagement with 5-7 of the region's partner organizations and prospective partner CEOs, working to build and deepen relationships and collaborations across the region, and to accelerate impact and learning across your portfolio of CEOs and partner organizations. This is essentially a senior consultant & portfolio manager role, responsible for working closely with non-profit executives and senior teams across APAC to establish credibility, diagnose needs and opportunities, consult on strategic challenges, and mobilize resources. The role also involves extensive collaboration, working alongside a strong and experienced team of colleagues who are based in remote work locations across the region and world to leverage existing knowledge and to maximize impact and learning. Current Teach For All partners in the Asia Pacific region include Teach For Afghanistan, Teach For Australia, Teach For Bangladesh, Teach For Cambodia, Teach For China, Teach For India, Teach For Japan, Teach For Malaysia, Teach For Mongolia, Teach For Nepal, Ako M?t?tupu (Teach First New Zealand), Teach for the Philippines, Teach For Thailand, Teach For Vietnam, and Teach For Qazaqstan. In addition, the Asia Pacific team is supporting several entrepreneurs and groups in additional contexts across the region who are pursuing partnership in the network, for example in Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Sri Lanka, and Uzbekistan. The Network Engagement Director will be joining our efforts to support these partner organizations and prospective partner organizations as part of our Asia Pacific regional team, which aims to grow the capacity and impact of Teach For All's work across the region overall. The right candidate is a visionary leader with experience of making sound strategic decisions that drive impact in complex and changing environments, alongside working collaboratively with team members. This person can build a strong relationship and culture among stakeholders and influence results through others. The right candidate must have a proven ability to work effectively across contexts and cultures, operate flexibly, and navigate ambiguity with ease. The right candidate is someone who has a deep familiarity living and working in the Asia Pacific region and has a strong orientation toward diversity, equity and inclusiveness. About the Team The Teach For All Asia Pacific team is a regionally distributed team with team members working remotely across diverse countries in the region, currently including India, Hong Kong, Bangladesh, Singapore and New Zealand. The team is composed primarily of staff members responsible for our engagement with prospective partners and partner organizations across the Asia Pacific region, and for our work to elevate awareness and grow support for the Teach For All network with regional external stakeholders and partners. Responsibilities Support a Portfolio of Current Partner Organizations and Prospective Partners (80%)Provide direct support and thought partnership to approximately 4-6 partner organizations and prospective partner CEOs in the region. The specific organizations assigned to the Director's portfolio will be determined based on a combination of factors including the person's location, language skills and abilities, and background. Co-create and manage the implementation of an annual partnership plan with each organization in the Network Engagement Director's portfolio, identifying how Teach For All will support them and how they will contribute back to the network on an ongoing basis. This plan will include the strategic engagement of other colleagues, teams and resources from across Teach For All. Act as primary day-to-day relationship holder with a portfolio of current and prospective partner organization CEOs, cultivating relationships to build positive, long-term partnerships as a means to achieving shared and mutually beneficial goals and outcomes. Share insights, ask questions, and provide support to partner and prospective partner organization CEOs and their leadership teams, to build their capacity, advance strategic clarity and impact, and foster learning and sharing across the network, in line with Teach For All's shared global vision and priorities. Build relationships with key stakeholders in the region to attract new sources of talent and funding to the network, and to build awareness among new potential partners, to enable Teach For All to expand its impact in diverse contexts and grow its reach across the Asia Pacific region, such that it is operating from a truly global perspective. Facilitate meaningful learning experiences in the region, virtual and in-person when possible, such as immersive experiences and peer-to-peer visits for network partner organizations and emerging social entrepreneurs, fostering collaboration, culture, and connection in line with our broader network vision and values. Leverage a deep understanding of the Asia Pacific landscape, to develop and execute on strategies that build external champions and elevate awareness of our work across the region. Contribute to Asia Pacific Regional Strategy and Team Strength (20%)Play a critical role in devising, executing, and monitoring the progress of the region's strategy to ensure we are advancing impact across the region in line with our vision and priorities. Participate in team and organizational meetings and activities to inform programmatic decisions that impact the design and implementation of our engagement with current and prospective partner organizations. Leverage deep knowledge and understanding of the region contexts to pursue external opportunities.
