Job Overview

The role of a Biomedical Equipment Specialist involves ensuring the smooth operation of biomedical equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and perform routine maintenance to prevent equipment failures.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions in a timely manner.
  • Provide technical assistance to users with equipment-related issues.
  • Collaborate with vendors and departments to minimize disruptions during maintenance or repairs.
  • Manage equipment inventory and spare parts effectively.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies through continuous training and professional development.

Requirements

  • Nitec or Diploma in Engineering is required.
  • Hands-on experience in equipment maintenance and repair is essential.
  • Familiarity with IT, cybersecurity, and EMR integration is an advantage.

In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the reliability and efficiency of biomedical equipment. Your tasks will include performing scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting users with their equipment needs.

You will also be responsible for coordinating with vendors and departments to minimize disruptions during maintenance or repairs, managing equipment inventory and spare parts, and staying updated on the latest technologies through continuous training and professional development.

To excel in this position, you must have a Nitec or Diploma in Engineering, hands-on experience in equipment maintenance and repair, and knowledge of IT, cybersecurity, and EMR integration as an advantage.
