We are dedicated to driving innovation and excellence in the blockchain industry. Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Lead Designer. The Lead Designer will be responsible for overseeing the design and visual identity of Cobalt Finance's products and services. Day-to-day tasks include creating and optimizing user interfaces, developing design strategies, conducting user research, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The Lead Designer will also lead the design team, and ensure all design outputs are of the highest quality. What you'll do Own the end-to-end design process for our institutional intelligence platform, from concept to implementation Establish and evolve Cobalt's design system, ensuring consistency across all products and touchpoints Lead and mentor a design team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement Partner with product, engineering, and leadership to define product vision and strategy Product Design Design sophisticated, data-rich interfaces that serve institutional investors and blockchain professionals Conduct user research with our institutional clients to understand workflows, pain points, and opportunities Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that balance aesthetics with functionality Optimize information architecture for complex financial and blockchain data visualization Brand & Visual Identity Develop and maintain Cobalt's visual identity across products, marketing materials, and communications Ensure design outputs communicate trust, sophistication, and innovation—essential for institutional clients Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain brand consistency across all customer touchpoints What we're looking for 5+ years of product design experience, with 2+ years in a senior or lead role Deep proficiency in modern design tools (Figma required; experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or Framer a plus)Proven ability to lead design teams and mentor designers at various career stages Strong understanding of user research methodologies and data-driven design decisions Excellence in creating design systems and maintaining design consistency at scale Outstanding communication skills with ability to articulate design decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders Experience designing for B2B, SaaS, or financial services products Why Cobalt Finance?High-Impact Work : Your designs will be used by leading institutional investors and the world's most influential blockchain protocols Innovation at the Frontier : Work at the intersection of institutional finance and cutting-edge blockchain technology Remote-First Culture : Work from anywhere with flexible hours and a globally distributed team Growth Opportunity : Shape design culture and build a world-class design team as we scale Competitive Compensation : Industry-leading salary, equity, and benefits package Location and work arrangement Fully remote.
