If you share our vision and possess the qualities we seek, do join usWhat you will be working on: You will be part of the Finance team that works closely with our stakeholders within MOT and MOT agencies to evaluate the business case and cost-effectiveness of various initiatives to support the MOT family’s transport policies and plans. These initiatives include mega transport projects with significant investment amounts that aim to achieve our vision for a world-class and well-connected transportation system both in Singapore and internationally. Your key role is to assess the project worthiness and ensure prudent use of public financial resources, include the following: Work closely with cross-functional teams to assess business case and funding for Government projects; Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate prudent financial practices into the project funding and implementation process; Perform business analytics and financial analysis, present key insights, and make recommendations to support decision-making; Implement and maintain robust governance controls to ensure compliance with the Government Financial Policies, regulations and best practices; and Provide advice on project governance, budgetary and financial matters. What we are looking for: We are looking for individuals with the following qualities: Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accountancy, Economics or equivalent professional qualification A self-starter who can work independently and be a team player as well Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities Strong written and spoken communication skills Good interpersonal skills and able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Proficient in data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel will be an advantage If you possess the above qualities, we welcome you to submit your application to usAbout Ministry of Transport The Mission of Ministry of Transport is to develop Singapore's land, sea and air transport sectors so as to enhance our economic competitiveness and quality of life in a knowledge-based economy. MOT oversees the development and regulation of the following sectors: Civil Aviation and Air Transport Maritime and Ports Land Transport Besides providing an efficient and cost-effective transportation in Singapore, it also strives to make Singapore an international civil aviation and maritime centre for the region. The ministry sets the strategic and policy direction while operations and regulatory works are carried out by the statutory boards under its charge. There are four statutory boards which are established by Acts of Parliament: the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), the Land Transport Authority (LTA), the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) and the Public Transport Council (PTC).
