Production Supervisor Job Description

The ideal candidate will oversee and manage daily injection moulding operations to meet production schedules for automotive components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate manpower allocation and supervise machine operations across multiple moulding lines, ensuring strict adherence to productivity targets, cycle times, and output efficiency.
  • Ensure all parts produced meet automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001), collaborating closely with Quality Assurance on in-process checks and non-conformance issues.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for any quality deviations or customer complaints, troubleshooting process or equipment issues to minimize downtime.
  • Supervise and coach a team of moulding technicians, operators, and material handlers, conducting training on safe machine operation, work instructions, and 5S practices , evaluating team performance, managing shift handovers, and maintaining discipline.
  • Ensure daily machine maintenance checks are performed, coordinating with the maintenance team for preventive and corrective maintenance on injection moulding machines and auxiliary equipment.
  • Enforce safety regulations and personal protective equipment usage at all times, promoting a clean and organized work environment (5S, Kaizen ).
