Production Lead - Moulding Department Job Description

The Production Lead - Moulding Department will oversee daily injection moulding operations to meet production schedules for automotive components.

This role requires strong leadership and technical skills to optimize machine settings, troubleshoot process issues, and ensure quality standards are met.

  • To allocate manpower and oversee machine operations across multiple moulding lines ensuring efficiency and productivity.
  • To ensure strict adherence to cycle times and output efficiency.
  • To oversee mould changeovers, machine start-up, shutdown, and parameter settings.
  • To troubleshoot process or equipment issues to minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Allocate personnel and manage machine operations across various moulding lines to achieve optimal productivity.
  • Ensure timely completion of tasks and maintain a smooth production workflow.
  • Oversee the setup and operation of moulds, machines, and related systems to guarantee efficient production.
  • Identify and resolve production-related issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in injection moulding, preferably in the automotive or precision plastic components industry.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing engineering, lean manufacturing, and quality assurance principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Manufacturing Engineering skills.
  • Lean Manufacturing techniques.
  • Quality Assurance expertise.
  • Process Control abilities.
  • Six Sigma certification.
