Partner | Executive Search | Asia & China-to-Global Expansion About the Organization A global multinational with a strong presence across North America, Europe, and Asia is seeking a Legal Counsel to support its continued growth in the Asia Pacific region. The organization operates within the advanced technology and manufacturing sector, with a focus on innovation, regulatory excellence, and operational integrity. This newly created position will form part of a lean and high-performing regional legal team, working closely with global headquarters and senior stakeholders across multiple markets. The Role The Legal Counsel, Asia Pacific will provide comprehensive legal and commercial support across the region, advising on a wide range of matters including corporate, commercial, compliance, and employment issues. The role requires both strategic insight and hands‑on legal execution, supporting the company’s business operations and expansion efforts. Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day legal advice to regional management and business teams on commercial, operational, and regulatory matters. Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of contracts including distribution, supply, service, and consulting agreements. Support corporate governance, intercompany structuring, and entity establishment across Asia Pacific jurisdictions. Advise on labor and employment matters and coordinate with HR on related issues. Manage engagement with external counsel and ensure alignment with internal standards. Assist with compliance, data privacy, and internal policy development initiatives. Collaborate with the global legal team on cross-border projects and process improvements. Requirements Law degree (LLB, JD, or equivalent) with 2–4 years of post-qualification experience in a reputable law firm or in-house environment. Solid grounding in corporate or commercial law with exposure to cross-border matters. Excellent drafting and negotiation skills; detail-oriented and solutions-focused. Strong interpersonal and communication abilities; comfortable working across cultures and time zones. High ethical standards and a pragmatic approach to risk management. Proficiency in English required; additional Asian language proficiency a plus. Why This Role?
