Overview
Senior/ Procurement Project Specialist at NTS Singapore. You will contribute to sourcing, supplier management, and NPI material handling to ensure on-time delivery and cost targets are met.
Responsibilities
Responsible for sourcing parts for bidding. Source, evaluate, and audit suppliers based on NTS supplier qualification process.
Develop sourcing strategy for each new RFQ and/or NPI to achieve best cost and lead time without sacrificing quality and ensure supply chain flexibility.
Conduct supplier risk assessments and implement mitigation plans for critical components.
Oversee the issuance of First Article (FA) Purchase Orders and track supplier performance.
Work closely with Category Manager to ensure sourcing strategy aligns with Category Strategy.
Accountable for meeting project cost and lead time targets. Manage NPI material to ensure on-time delivery for new products.
Timely completion of assigned RFQ for sourcing.
Maintain RFQ Master files to ensure traceability of supplier quotations.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to interpret engineering drawings; Sourcing strategy, supplier audit, SWOT analysis, capability mapping, NDA; strong analytical skills; first article, price and lead time negotiation.
Data-driven with good problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
Understanding of cost breakdowns, total cost of ownership (TCO), and cost-saving strategies.
Awareness of industry-specific regulations, trade laws, and ethical sourcing policies.
Requirements
Degree or Diploma in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering, with experience in new project material management.
Minimum 5 years' experience in sourcing built-to-print parts (machining, sheet metal, PCBA, cable assembly) in a manufacturing setup, preferably semicon.
Experience in project-based procurement, new product introduction (NPI), or production
