Director Medical Affairs Lead the International Medical Affairs leadership team to develop and execute the Medical Affairs strategy aligned with organizational objectives. Oversee planning, budgeting, governance and cross‑functional collaboration across Commercial, Development, Manufacturing and other functions. Key Responsibilities Strategic planning and leadership: partner with senior leaders to develop and execute Medical Affairs strategy. Drive the international annual planning process, including budget development, resource allocation and goal setting. Monitor industry trends to anticipate challenges and opportunities for Medical Affairs. Enhance operational efficiency by streamlining processes, workflows and systems. Oversee performance metrics and KPIs to track progress and enable continuous improvement. Develop and maintain international governance frameworks for compliance, quality and risk management. Support the Medical Affairs system and technology roadmap and assess future technologies. Partner with IT, Finance and other functions to maintain fiscal discipline and track project goals. Serve as liaison between Medical Affairs and Commercial, Development, Manufacturing, etc. to ensure alignment and coordination. Oversee implementation of strategic initiatives, manage cross‑functional project teams and deliver on time. Create dashboards and reporting systems to track progress of key initiatives. Leverage data analytics to generate actionable insights informing medical and business strategies. Build a high‑performing team to deliver operational and strategic excellence. Qualifications Advanced scientific degree (MD, PharmD, PhD) and 8+ years of biotech/pharma industry experience OR Master’s Degree and 10+ years of industry experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 12+ years of experience. Deep understanding of Medical Affairs business needs and requirements. Demonstrated success in developing effective creative solutions to complex problems. Excellent project management and problem‑solving skills, and ability to think creatively. 5+ years in medical affairs or leading project delivery role in pharma. Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to lead and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment. Outstanding Microsoft Office skills. Fluency in English; proficiency in Japanese an advantage. Location: Singapore or Japan.
