Responsibilities:

Our Search Team focuses on building intelligent search systems for TikTok, including AI-powered search agents and LLM-based query understanding. We develop search question-answer cards via LLM-powered generation and leverage LLM ChatBot, Agent, and RAG technologies to deliver accurate, real-time responses.

  • Build AI Search Agents with planning, memory, and tool-use capabilities.
  • Enhance LLM-based query understanding by processing multi-turn conversations and conducting semantic analysis on queries and documents.
  • Optimize RAG and LLM pipelines by improving retrieval and ranking algorithms, training and optimizing LLMs for answer generation, and enhancing the relevance and structured presentation of search results.
  • Translate research innovations into production, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive product upgrades.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in C++/Python; strong command of algorithms and data structures.
  • Broad knowledge of machine learning fundamentals, including LLM principles and fine-tuning workflows.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering technical projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with LLM/Agent technologies, such as RAG optimization, RLHF/SFT for LLMs, or Agent framework development.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of exploring new technologies and driving technical advancements with teams.
