Summary As the Sales Director (Public Sector), you will be responsible for contributing to the success of SAS's strategic and business objectives through the implementation of sales and marketing strategy within the Public Sector. You will be responsible for: Achievement of total software revenue target and management business objectives (MBOs) Planning and implementing growth plans for software, consulting services, and education services Directing management of sales and sales support activities for staff members to implement growth plans and sales activities Developing and implementing marketing, sales, and business development plans to exceed target levels Assigning appropriate sales goals and assignments to sales staff; determining optimal utilization of staff and resources to achieve sales goals Communicating with the sales management team to coordinate account strategies Hiring, directing, and evaluating staff Timely and accurate forecasting of software, consulting services, and education services Demonstrating best practices by sharing customers’ success stories within the sales team Using knowledge of market, industry trends, and competitors; as well as networking opportunities to stay connected Analyzing sales statistics for trends and summarizing for senior leadership Accurately forecasting new and renewal sales on a monthly and quarterly basis What we’re looking for: Bachelor's degree preferably in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a quantitative field 12 years of experience in software sales, including five years in a leadership role, coordinating and/or supervising technical projects within the technology industry and two years in a formal management role Demonstrated experience in successfully achieving a sales target Proven record of complex solution selling into the Public Sector in Singapore Supervisory skills in a sales organization Ability to manage, negotiate, and close multiple complex sales opportunities Understanding of strategic sales techniques and principles, specifically in the hardware and software industry, as well as selling to Fortune 500 companies and/or large governmental institutions Strong leadership, supervisory, interpersonal, and oral communication skills; demonstrated project leadership skills Ability to work and learn independently; demonstrated ability to interact productively with all levels of staff You’re curious, passionate, authentic, and accountable.
