Job Title: Technical Equipment Specialist
Description:
The role of the Technical Equipment Specialist is to provide expert technical support and maintenance services for equipment installed on-board vessels. This involves performing routine inspections, conducting troubleshooting and repair tasks, and ensuring that all equipment meets strict service standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspect and test customer-supplied products to ensure quality and functionality.
- Perform installation, commissioning, and maintenance tasks on various types of equipment.
- Provide technical documentation and support to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Identify and report any quality issues or defects related to products or services.
- Supervise and mentor junior technicians to improve their skills and knowledge.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in marine electronics or a related field.
- Strong understanding of computer systems, telecommunication networks, and electronic components.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
