CSIT develops digital products to advance the national security interests of Singapore.
We are looking for talented Software Engineers to build digital products that enhance organizational effectiveness and drive workforce productivity. You'll be part of a product team using cloud-native technologies to deliver robust, scalable enterprise applications.
Our product teams build web applications using cloud-native technologies and enterprise COTS/platform integration to deliver feature-rich applications to achieve better efficiency, effectiveness, and employee experience for the organisation. Our teams adopt an agile delivery approach with a focus on building products through user-centered design.
As a Software Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain software applications. You'll collaborate with teams to deliver quality features, write clean code, and apply best practices. Staying current with new technologies to improve development processes is also expected.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and deploy software applications using modern web technology stack
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable and reliable technical solutions
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
Participate in iterative sprint cycles through peer code reviews, engaging with users, and proactively resolving issues
Implement CI/CD pipelines and contribute to automation efforts
Ensure application observability via proper logging, metrics, and monitoring instrumentation
Share best practices, publish internal tech blogs, lead knowledge-sharing sessions, or mentor peers across engineering teams
Requirements (Minimum Qualifications)
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
Strong foundation in programming languages, data structures, and software design patterns
Familiarity with modern software development tools (e.g., Cloud technologies, Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Git) and frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, React)
Experience with relational (e.g., MSSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB), and observability tools (e.g., OpenTelemetry)
Proficiency in Python and experience with Elasticsearch is a plus
Experience with integrating Generative AI capabilities and AI coding assistants like GitHub Copilot is advantageous
Note: Candidates with relevant experience may be considered for a senior software engineer position.
As CSIT is an agency under the Ministry of Defence (Singapore), only Singapore Citizens will be considered.
