Electrochemistry Researcher

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated researcher to join our team in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at National University of Singapore. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects related to electrochemical performance in aqueous organic flow batteries and electrochemical CO2 capture systems.

This role involves designing, synthesizing, and characterizing water-soluble redox-active molecules, as well as evaluating their electrochemical performance in various applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and synthesis of redox molecules with high electrochemical activity.
  • Characterization of synthesized molecules using NMR, LC-MS, IR, and other techniques.
  • Evaluation of electrochemical performance in aqueous organic flow batteries and electrochemical CO2 capture systems.

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry or a closely related field.
  • Expertise in design and synthesis of redox molecules.
  • Experience in organic synthesis and characterization.
  • Able to independently design synthetic routes and execute research projects.
  • Ability to analyze chemical properties and collaborate in interdisciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with green chemistry, electrosynthesis, or electrochemistry is an asset.
