Electrical Support Specialist

The role of Electrical Support Specialist involves providing expert support to the Lead Electrical Engineer in various electrical engineering tasks. This includes site surveys, meetings, and discussions with clients and contractors. The Electrical Support Specialist will also be responsible for preparing reports and method statements as necessary.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend to site surveys, meetings, and discussions with clients and contractors as required.
  • Prepare reports and method statements as necessary.
  • Perform all electrical works in accordance with EMA regulations and guidelines under LEW supervision.
  • Assist the PE/LEW in carrying out regular site inspections on LT and HT installations.
  • Standby and partner with LEW in attending to emergency call-up services at customer installations.
  • Investigate and determine the root cause of faults and report where applicable.
  • Interpret basic schematics and SLD diagrams.
  • Participate in and support Annual Shutdown exercises as required.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping of spare parts, equipment, and tools.
  • Assist the LEW in test and commissioning of electrical systems.
  • Provide excellent service to meet client expectations.
  • Ensure all works carried out safely and/or in accordance with safety procedures.
  • Requirements:
  • At least a Diploma in Electrical Power Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum one year's experience in an electrical engineering environment.
  • Training provided for entry-level candidates.
