Job Title: Marine Operations Director

Description:

  • The primary responsibility of the Marine Operations Director is to oversee the safe and efficient operation of a fleet of vessels assigned to them. This includes conducting regular inspections, supervising dry-dockings and repairs, and ensuring that all vessels are properly certified and documented.
  • The director will also be responsible for managing budgets allocated to vessels and producing regular reports. This requires strong leadership skills and the ability to make sound financial decisions.
  • In addition to their operational responsibilities, the Marine Operations Director will be expected to lead by example and promote a culture of safety and compliance within the organization.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in sailing and at least 1 year's experience as a Chief Engineer.
  • Professional knowledge and skills in vessel operations, management, and maintenance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Good leadership qualities, including strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
