You have over 9 years of experience in designing, developing, and implementing applications for large-scale Mainframe database applications in a distributed development environment. Your responsibilities will include developing designs to convert requirements into business processes using the COBOL programming language and various databases such as IMS and DB2. You will also be involved in business value assessment, business requirements elaboration, detail design work for workflows, business rules, user interfaces, and reports.As part of the role, you will coordinate unit testing and integration testing with the development team, and collaborate on bug fixing with the testing team based on input from product management. You will design and code database applications following specifications using appropriate tools, adhering to the company's coding standards, with a focus on minimizing maintenance requirements. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing existing applications, interfacing with end-users for design and implementation purposes, and troubleshooting problems.Experience in migrating large-scale mainframe applications to distributed systems is preferred, and familiarity with Agile methodology is mandatory.
