Computer Operations Specialist

Perform day-to-day computer operations and helpdesk functions in our Data Centre. Ensure the smooth operation of multi-platform systems, including Mainframe, AS/400, UNIX, WinNT, etc.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor software and hardware facilities, reacting to exceptions according to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Manage IT-related incidents and problems reported by staff.
  • Maintain Incident Logs for all monitored software, hardware, and applications.
  • Perform job submission, backup, recovery, and restart according to SOP or approved ad-hoc requests.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Degree in IT or Computer Science from a recognized institution with at least 8 years of working experience in relevant work areas.
  • Experience in operating on AS400, Mainframe, Open system (Unix and Windows) platforms.
  • Proficient in using MS Office Suite, Remedy incident ticketing system, and TrueSight monitoring tools.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and under pressure.
Additional Requirements:
  • Develop, Engage, Execute, Role Type (GTO), Strategise, Work Experience Level for GTO CWF.
