Role Overview:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Java-based application support professional to join our team.

About the Role:

  • You will be responsible for providing expert-level support for Java applications used in banking operations, encompassing Level 2 and Level 3 troubleshooting and issue resolution within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Collaborate closely with business users and technical teams to understand and resolve complex incidents, applying strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Perform basic SQL queries to investigate data-related issues and document recurring problems in the knowledge base for future reference.
  • Support application deployment and change activities during scheduled releases, ensuring seamless transitions.
  • Educate junior engineers on best practices and provide guidance on intricate issues, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • No less than 5 years of hands-on experience in Java/Micro Services J2EE application support or development.
  • In-depth understanding of Java, Spring, REST APIs, and web services.
  • Familiarity with relational databases, such as Oracle and PostgreSQL.
  • Proficiency in Linux/Unix commands and shell scripting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and methodologies.
  • Understanding of continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
