As an Adaptive consultant, you will be fully supported by the Simmons & Simmons team with a sponsoring Partner and a client team with whom we would encourage you to engage on a regular basis. You will have access to the firm's resources and Know-how and have the opportunity to be involved in training and development at the Firm. Main purpose of the role: Simmons Adaptive is currently seeking private banking legal consultants for a live client assignment with one of the firm’s key global banking clients. You will be responsible for: Provide expert legal advice on a wide range of issues related to private banking, including wealth management, estate planning, tax matters, and investment services. Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents and contracts to protect the bank's interests and comply with regulatory requirements. Work closely with the compliance team to ensure all private banking activities adhere to local and international legal standards. Offer guidance on the legal implications of new products and services, as well as on major business initiatives and strategies. Manage and mitigate legal risks by designing and implementing effective risk management strategies. Keep abreast of legislative changes that may impact the private banking business and advise on necessary actions. Person specification: You are a qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 7 years PQE, preferably gained within a financial institution or a law firm with a strong focus on private banking or financial services. You have comprehensive knowledge of the legal and regulatory landscape relevant to private banking. You have excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. You have proven ability to handle complex legal issues, providing clear, practical advice. You have strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
