Job Summary The Group Strategy Director (Global Transformation & Strategy Office) role is an exciting opportunity that offers practical exposure to frontier trends in the urban and infrastructure industry, as well as sophisticated research and analysis techniques to formulate group and unit strategies with an edge. The role will be primarily focused on the formulation of SJ’s next 5 years transformational growth strategy and assisting in the execution of strategic action plans and initiatives. Responsibilities Keep abreast of key economic, regulatory, and financial market trends and data, industry and segment trends, as well as company movements (clients, partners, developers, competitors, M&A targets) Lead cross-sector and sector-specific deep dive research Formulate strategies and policies with compelling narratives to engage stakeholders Provide regular synopsis updates to the senior management team to keep them informed of sector and geographic developments Support the development of economic and market insights and reports for selected countries and sectors Manage research and strategic fit assessment queries for M&A purposes Requirements Degree in Economics, Business Administration or Engineering Minimum 7–10 years of experience in a management consulting/engineering/infrastructure-related sector Excellent written and oral communication skills Proficiency in English Strong knowledge in financial and macroeconomics Familiarity with the review of financial statements and annual reports Strong problem-solving and numerical skills Resourceful, analytical, and organized Exhibit self-motivation and a highly service-oriented work ethic Willingness to work in a highly demanding and results-oriented team environment As an inclusive and growing organisation, SJ is committed to building a global community of talented professionals and thought leaders.
