Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Senior AdTech/Marketing Data Engineer to join our growing data team. This role is critical in managing, optimizing, and analyzing our marketing technology stack to drive efficient customer acquisition and gain deep insights into performance across digital channels. You will be the go-to expert for GA4, paid social advertising technology (Meta, TikTok), mobile measurement (AppsFlyer/channel tracking), and leveraging BigQuery for advanced analysis. Your work will directly impact marketing strategy, budget allocation, and overall business growth.

What You'll Do

  • Paid Social Technology: Implement and troubleshoot tracking solutions (Pixels, Conversion APIs, etc.) for Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and TikTok advertising platforms. Ensure accurate conversion tracking and data flow.
  • Channel Tracking & Attribution: Manage and leverage Mobile Measurement Partners (MMP) like AppsFlyer for app install and in-app event tracking. Analyze attribution data to understand channel effectiveness and user journeys.
  • BigQuery Data Analysis: Use BigQuery to query, merge, and analyze large datasets from marketing sources (GA4, Ads Platforms, MMP, CRM). Develop complex SQL queries and data models to support reporting needs.
  • Reporting & Visualization: Create and maintain dashboards (Looker Studio, Tableau, or similar) connected to BigQuery to visualize marketing performance, track KPIs, and communicate insights to stakeholders.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve tracking discrepancies, data inconsistencies, and other issues within the marketing tech stack.
  • Collaboration: Work with marketing channel managers, data analysts, product teams, and engineering to ensure data integration and alignment on measurement strategies.
  • Stay Current: Keep up with GA4, social ad platforms, MMPs, BigQuery, and the broader MarTech landscape.

What You'll Need

  • Proven Experience: 5+ years in adtech/marketing technology, digital analytics, or performance marketing with a strong technical focus.
  • Social Ads Tech: Experience implementing and managing tracking (Pixels, CAPI) for Meta and TikTok. Familiarity with platform interfaces and reporting.
  • Channel Tracking / MMP: Hands-on experience with MMPs like AppsFlyer, Adjust, Kochava, including setup and analysis.
  • BigQuery Fluency: Proficient in SQL for querying complex datasets in Google BigQuery; experience joining data from multiple sources.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills; ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Marketing, or related quantitative field preferred.

Must Have

  • Experience with Google Tag Manager (GTM).
  • Experience with scripting languages (Python, SQL, JavaScript) for automation or data manipulation.
  • Experience with other advertising platforms (Google Ads, programmatic).

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data visualization tools (Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Experience in an e-commerce or mobile app-focused business.
