Vessel Operations Coordinator Job Description

Role Overview:

The Vessel Operations Coordinator will oversee the efficient movement of our marine vessels, ensuring compliance with maritime laws and safety regulations. This role requires effective communication with stakeholders and a proactive approach to minimizing downtime and maintaining smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support senior team members in managing all operational activities, including vessel movements, resource allocation, and cost control.
  • Develop and execute operational plans to optimize cargo handling, stowage, tow arrangements, and voyage scheduling.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across HSE, procurement, crewing, maintenance, and repairs to ensure seamless operations and minimize risks.
  • Monitor and report on operational performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage fuel, supplies, and vessel equipment, ensuring optimal usage and reducing waste.
  • Analyze data to inform operational decisions, leveraging insights to drive business growth and improve profitability.
  • Liaise with ship masters, clients, and regulatory authorities to maintain strong relationships and ensure compliance.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Marine Management or at least 3 years of relevant experience in vessel operations.
  • Excellent English and Mandarin language skills for effective communication with teams and stakeholders.
