Your role As the Medical & Professional Affairs Manager for SEAK, you will partner closely with Marketing and Commercial teams to expand access to our eye‑care portfolio through professional education, scientific engagement, event execution, and digital initiatives. A key focus of your role will be to build and maintain trusted relationships with healthcare professionals (HCPs), key opinion leaders (KOLs), and independent medical experts (IMEs). You will also facilitate participation in major industry conferences to reinforce EssilorLuxottica’s position as a thought leader in the field. In addition, you will support the strategic development of key categories - such as myopia control and progressive lenses - by leveraging scientific and clinical content to strengthen eye care professionals' (ECPs') product recommendations. Main Responsibilities: HCP & IME Engagement Build and maintain strong partnerships with ophthalmologists, optometrists, academic institutions, and professional societies. Respond to unsolicited medical inquiries in accordance with compliance guidelines. Scientific & Educational Programs Plan, develop, and present scientific content for congress booths, symposia, advisory boards, and webinars Localize global training modules tailored to SEA & Korea. Support the development of strategic categories such as myopia control and progressive lenses via the use of scientific and clinical content to enhance recommendations from HCPs Market Planning & Launch Excellence Coordinate pre‑launch and post‑launch medical activities, aligning with Commercial to drive demand and measure brand performance. Oversee development of marketing, advertising, and sales‑promotion assets that enhance customer experience. Strategic & Operational Leadership Provide medical insight for product‑commercialization strategies and resource allocation. Manage budgets, agencies, and vendors; track ROI and report on key metrics. Ensure all activities comply with regional regulatory and corporate governance standards. Field & Customer Support Deliver on‑site clinical education, troubleshooting, and consultative support to customers and sales teams. Mentor Medical Representatives and Professional Trainers to ensure consistent, high‑quality scientific dialogue across markets. Main Requirements: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Optometry, Ophthalmic Science, Life Sciences, or related field (required), MBA or advanced clinical/academic degree (preferred). Minimum 5 years in medical affairs, KOL management, or professional education within med‑tech, pharma, or medical‑device sectors. Proven track record orchestrating multi‑country events and programs across diverse cultures in Southeast Asia; ophthalmic/eye‑care experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated success managing budgets, agencies, and complex stakeholder networks. Familiarity with SEA regulatory and compliance frameworks for medical devices. Experience supporting multiple countries in a regional role; able to travel as needed. Analytical mindset with strong project‑management and digital‑savvy skills.
