Medical Affairs, External Scientific Engagement

This role is responsible to develop strong, knowledgeable, and competitive MSL/Medical Affairs teams in South East Asia by developing and strengthening core competencies of the MSLs/ Medical Affairs teams in the region.
**Responsibilities**:
**Medical Customer Engagement**
- Deliver industry leading, highly relevant scientific content to engage customers with solutions powered by insights, data and analytics.
- Drive the transformation of medical customer engagement approaches using data and analytics and lead change management initiatives.
- Develop, implement and report key customer engagement and impact metrics in collaboration with the local MAF teams.
- Develop strong internal networks with all functions to increase recognition of MSLs and optimize support and recognition for the MSL/ Medical Affairs functions to enable high performance, including organizing of annual SEA MSL Summit.
- Develop and train MSLs/Medical Affairs teams on KOL profiling and mapping across SEA
**Capability Building**
- Develop a strong, knowledgeable, and competitive MSL/Medical Affairs teams in SEA, enabling teams to take on proactive vs reactive discussions with both external and internal stakeholders; by identify training needs and implement effective and results driven training programs to support the development needs.
- Develop strategic thinking and the ability to taken on difficult conversations with external stakeholders.
- Building data generation and RWE expertise by partnering with APAC
- Leveraging and building robust cross functional partnerships with cross functional teams and regional teams, to identify and implement effective MSL Training through new tools, platforms and experiences from internal J&J companies or external best practices
- Collaborate with OpCos and APAC Regional Therapeutic Area teams, to develop and update Field Medical/ Medical Affairs training curriculum.
- Partner with Medical Excellence & Compliance Lead and Country Medical Heads for new hire onboarding and to ensure appropriate training is assigned to regional MSL/MAF associates.
- Partnering with patient support groups to bring the value of our innovative treatments
- Ensures that all MAF eLearning training programs are available and easily accessible through MAF Academy and SUMMIT
**Compliance and Budget Management**
- Manage and track the budgets
- Ensure that all activities and trainings meet the company compliance policies and adhere to the CREDO
**Qualifications**:
**Education**:
- Preferred minimum education: Medical or science background with PhD (pharmacy, lifescience/biotechnology)
- At least 5 years in a Medical Scientific Liaison role
- Professional Engagement skills and Field Coaching Certification required
**Experience**:
- Has had coaching and mentoring experience
- Preferred relevant industry experience in Healthcare / Pharma, specifically within field medical/MSL management
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams with outstanding communication and people skills to activate and engage others and can influence without authority
- Understanding of various customer engagement channels including digital channels focused on customer journeys and experience preferred
- Experience of developing and administering training programs within the pharmaceutical industries preferred.
- Good understanding of healthcare compliance principles and the role of the MSL
- Fluency in English
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills and time-management skills
