**JOB SUMMARY
To create the scientific and medical foundations to support our growth within the therapeutic apheresis and cell technology environments, Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies (TBCT) is opening an exciting role in our team for a **Medical Affairs Lead for the Asia Pacific region.
You'll engage medical scientific experts in in-depth medical / scientific product or disease area discussions and deliver presentations in a non-promotional scientific context in line with the TBCT strategy. You'll also act as an educational resource to internal stakeholders, providing medical/ scientific knowledge, training, and support to internal stakeholders on TBCT marketed products.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the overall direction, guidance and supervision of the Vice President of Medical Affairs and Market access and in close collaboration with global medical affairs leaders related to exchange therapy and cell technology, the role of the medical affairs lead APAC is:

- To establish the medical affairs function at the TBCT headquarters for APAC in Singapore.
- To development the regional Medical Strategic Plan and to execute on the following activities:

- To ensure effective, trustful, and up-to-date communication of TBCT scientific data and data related to TBCT technology through external engagements enabling healthcare professionals and public health decision makers to bring relevant healthcare solutions to their patients.
- To bring medical and technical expertise to APAC organization including but not limited to regulatory affairs, marketing, commercial, marketing and market access.
- To support and enable TBCT to achieve its business objectives by delivering ‘in-the-field’ scientific engagement with healthcare professionals and public health decision makers to provide scientific and medical information, identify and manage scientific projects and clinical trial activities.
- To educate scientists active in the cell and gene environment concerning the scientific profile of TBCT solutions for cell collections, cell expansion and fill and finish procedures.
- Gain valuable insight and feedback from the healthcare community on TBCT products and services, medical and scientific information which can help guide research, development, and service provision to benefit TBCTs customers and patients as well as supporting internal stakeholders.
- Provide medical and technical expertise to scientific submissions.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for professionals with the following required skills to achieve our goals:

- In order of preference, a Degree in Medicine, PhD or PharmD.
- A minimum of 3 year of experience in the pharmaceutical or medical technology industry.
- Strong interpersonal, influencing, and negotiation skills with different types of internal and external stakeholders.
- Team player, patient and customer-focused, problem solver with clear focus on end-results.
- A goal-getter that knows how to connect scientific communication to commercial strategy within the applicable compliance rules.
- Ability to work autonomously and independently with time management skills to effectively manage field-based responsibilities.
- Excellent in written and oral communication skills.
