As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the freight forwarding industry. Your role will involve developing and implementing effective sales strategies to acquire new clients, generating leads, setting appointments, and presenting business proposals through various communication channels.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the freight forwarding industry
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to acquire new clients
- Generate leads, set appointments and present business proposals to potential customers through various communication channels
- Manage and maintain pipelines, respond to requests for information in a timely manner and remain proactive and responsive to prospective customers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional customer service
- Analyse market trends, competition and customer needs to identify growth potential
- Contribute to the development of marketing and promotional campaigns
- Achieve and exceed monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets
To succeed in this role, you will need to have a degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or a related field, along with minimum 5 years of experience in new business development or sales, preferably in the freight forwarding or logistics industry. You should also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence both internal and external stakeholder groups effectively.
