Medical Oncologist

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing and treating various types of cancer. As a Medical Oncologist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients with complex needs.

  • Your primary objective will be to monitor patient progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as necessary based on clinical developments.
  • You will collaborate with other specialists to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to care, resulting in enhanced patient outcomes.
  • Cancer screening services will be provided for at-risk individuals in accordance with national and international guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and stage patients with cancer, developing personalized treatment plans that cater to their unique needs.
  • Implement treatment plans using chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies, always prioritizing patient comfort and well-being.
  • Maintain close relationships with patients, monitoring their progress and making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care, ensuring seamless transitions between treatments.
  • Conduct cancer screenings and recommend early detection tools, empowering patients to take control of their health.
  • Provide patients with accurate information regarding genetic testing, allowing them to make informed decisions about their care.
  • Participate in regular case reviews to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in cancer care, guaranteeing high-quality treatment options for patients.

Requirements:

  • A medical degree from a recognized university is essential, with preference given to institutions in the United Kingdom or Australia.
  • At least 5 years of post-specialist experience in oncology is required, preferably gained in reputable healthcare institutions in Singapore.
  • Recognized specialist accreditation in Medical Oncology, such as MRCP with Medical Oncology subspecialty training or equivalent, is a must.
  • Fully registered or eligible for full registration with the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) is mandatory.
  • Accredited as a Specialist in Medical Oncology by the Singapore Specialist Accreditation Board (SAB)
