Job Overview:
The
Costume Operations Executive
plays a key role in ensuring the smooth management, logistics, and maintenance of Costumes, Mascots and related Props & accessories. This position involves coordinating costume production, overseeing quality control, managing inventory, and supporting production to ensure a smooth and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Costume Production & Management:
Oversee the production, handling, and quality assurance of Costumes, Mascots and related Props, accessories and plush products.
Work closely with designers, sales team and production teams to ensure timely completion of projects.
Conduct quality checks on new costumes to meet company standards.
Provide support and monitor project closely to prevent problems from happening.
Ensure clarity & completeness of project specifications before passing instructions on to the production team.
Help brainstorm and prevent mistakes or issues before they occur.
Manage client expectations in terms of delivery & expectations.
Fabric selection and recommendation for the project.
Logistics & Inventory Control:
Manage the inventory of costumes, accessories, and maintenance supplies.
Track and schedule all materials needed for projects. If materials are delayed, this affects the production delivery date.
Purchasing and sourcing when necessary.
Coordinate logistics with the logistics team for costume deliveries, costume samples, project meetings, and alterations if any.
Requirements:
Diploma or relevant experience in costume management, operations, fashion design, or a related field.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
Basic sewing or costume repair skills (preferred but not required).
Ability to take measurements or fittings on clients for projects.
Fabric knowledge.
Comfortable working in a creative and fast-paced environment.
Willingness to travel for activations when necessary.
