Job Title

  • Assist client in developing design brief, outlining key objectives and requirements. Conduct pre-design research on regulatory requirements to inform the development of the project.
  • Conduct site investigation i.e. check RLP, SIP, DIP and other necessary regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Brainstorm ideas and develop initial design concepts that meet the client's needs and comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure initial design complies with regulatory requirements, consulting authorities as necessary.
  • Assist client to refine design brief, incorporating feedback and new information.
  • Further develop the design in detail to meet requirements for Development Control Submissions and all other relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare outline specifications to determine preferred materials, quality and construction method.
  • Develop all spaces in detail (exterior, interior, landscape) to create a cohesive and functional design.
  • Refine plan and promotion enhancing feel & space through detailed analysis and design considerations.
  • Enhance aesthetics thought analytical design detailing to achieve a high-quality finish.
  • Ensure design intention is translatable to working drawings through construction.
  • Ensure that design complies with regulatory requirements, providing clients with confidence in the final product.
  • Provide client with recommendations on materials and construction method that is in line with the design intent.
  • Work closely with Project Administrator to develop Sketchup model in accordance to exact specifications.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure that design intent is adhered to.
  • Troubleshoot design problems, if any, to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Assist with ad hoc design changes, if any, to accommodate client requests.
  • Conduct site inspection to check the completed work against the design intent.
  • Understand and analyse design flaws and defect arising from design, making recommendations for improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A strong passion for architecture, interior architecture and interior design is essential.
  • Good knowledge in selection of colours and materials is required.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Autocad, Sketch-up, 3D max, Revit and Powerpoint is necessary.
  • Relish working in a challenging and fast-paced environment is crucial.
  • At least 5 years of experience (local or overseas) with a strong portfolio is desired.
  • A proactive and conscientious team player is essential.
