We are seeking a dynamic member to join the Exhibitions department as an Experience Designer. You will collaborate with a team of Imagineers, Producers, and Engineers to create science-based exhibitions and support projects within the Exhibitions & Galleries Division.
Essential Job Functions
As an Experience Designer, you will focus on the interactive content and environmental design of exhibitions. You will work with a project team to conceptualize and develop the narrative and anticipated experience for each exhibition. Additionally, you will prepare technical documents for Tender/Procurement exercises and conduct tender briefings to contractors.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have a passion for science and exhibition experiences. You should be capable of collaborating with a multidisciplinary team throughout the design process.
You must be able to translate concepts into experiences and generate ideas from scratch. Candidates should be self-driven, creative, organized, and possess good communication skills, along with a keen aesthetic or design sense.
Experience in curation for Museums, Science Centres, or Attractions, as well as knowledge in Design, Educational Technology, User Experience, and User Interface, is advantageous.
Experience designing across multiple platforms (physical and virtual) is an added advantage.
Candidates must be willing to work on weekends and public holidays if necessary.
