Reports to: Head of Corporate Governance, Risk, and Internal Control
Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic ERM Manager to lead the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of a forward-looking, enterprise-wide risk management framework. This role is pivotal in embedding a strong risk culture and philosophy across the organization, encompassing strategic, operational, compliance, and financial risks.
Key Responsibilities
ERM Framework Design & Oversight
Lead the development and implementation of a fit-for-purpose Enterprise Risk Management Framework, including core tools such as the Risk Register, Risk Identification and Assessment templates, and monitoring mechanisms.
Act as a key second line of defence, providing independent oversight and reporting over risk status and activities across all business functions.
Develop and maintain the organization's risk appetite statement, risk taxonomy, and risk assessment methodology.
Monitor alignment with the risk appetite through the use of key risk indicators (KRIs) and other performance metrics.
Risk Identification, Assessment & Mitigation
Drive enterprise-wide risk identification and assessment exercises, including ongoing refinement of key risk documentation and tools.
Collaborate with Internal Control and business stakeholders to define and implement risk mitigating controls and map them into the Risk Control Matrix (RCM) to enable regular and timely monitoring and risk status updates.
Governance & Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as a trusted business partner for the execution of risk initiatives across functions and geographies.
Provide clear and timely risk reporting to senior management and the board.
Manage relationships with external consultants engaged to support ERM framework implementation and enhancements.
Design and deliver risk awareness programs, including workshops, training sessions, and targeted communications to foster an active risk culture across the enterprise.
A successful applicant should have:
Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in developing and operationalizing ERM frameworks and programs.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to distill complex issues into actionable insights.
Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
Demonstrated capability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and complex operating environment.
A proactive, self-driven mindset with a strong commitment to embedding risk intelligence in business processes and decisions.
