Job Description: KPMG's Infrastructure Advisory team is recognized as one of the leading advisors for infrastructure projects. The team provides advisory services across the lifecycle of infrastructure assets for public, private, and multilateral clients in all major infrastructure sub-sectors with a geographical focus in Southeast Asia, Middle East, and Asia Pacific. In Singapore, advisory service offerings are organized into three focus practices: Energy & Utilities (E&U), Transport & Mobility (T&M), and Infratech and Projects Advisory (IPA). Our Energy & Utilities practice focuses on financial advisory services for conventional power, renewables, water, waste and utilities projects, as well as energy transition and decarbonization advisory.
Responsibilities
Project and Engagement Delivery: Manage transactions and advisory mandates with a portfolio of assignments at any one time.
Produce key transaction outputs – e.g., financial modelling analyses, information memoranda, and transaction documents (RFQ, RFP), and present these to stakeholders.
Provide strategic, commercial and financial advice spanning the lifecycle of infrastructure projects to major corporates, public sector entities, infrastructure funds, multilateral agencies; service offerings include public sector PPP procurement; bid/sell-side transaction advisory; project development advisory; financial feasibility and business case studies; market analysis; project finance model build and debt raising advisory; policy and regulatory advisory; energy market modelling and advisory; energy transition and industrial decarbonization advisory.
Support on project/engagement management and client communication.
Liaise with other business units and member firms, and with external advisors (technical, legal, specialist consultants).
Business Development
Independently develop opportunities and build a portfolio of opportunities/projects for the team.
Independently manage the development of proposals, presentations, and pitches to prospective clients.
Support senior management in developing thought leadership in new business areas.
Ideal Candidate Experience & Competencies
Minimum of 3 years (5 years for Manager) of relevant professional experience in energy and utilities infrastructure project finance and PPPs.
Experience in preparing bankability feasibility studies/business cases for infrastructure projects, including PPP transactions.
Understanding of risk analysis and allocation for project finance and PPPs.
Knowledge of project finance documentation and experience taking projects to financial close.
Ability to manage and mentor staff on engagements, and provide on-the-job training and knowledge sharing.
Strong project management skills to deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within budget.
Strong client and relationship-building skills.
Proficiency in quantitative and financial modeling with strong business and commercial acumen.
Willing to travel within the ASEAN region; ASEAN-based project experience is advantageous.
Proficiency in additional regional language(s) is an added advantage.
Specialist role focused on energy market modelling advisory can be considered for suitable backgrounds.
