Overview
Business Improvement Specialist, Office of Business Improvement – Join to apply for the Business Improvement Specialist, Office of Business Improvement role at Singapore Management University.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage cross-functional projects that drive significant improvements for the university.
Conduct training and coach staff in applying Lean Six Sigma, Design thinking and other improvement tools/methodologies.
Collaborate with departments to identify and support improvement opportunities.
Support initiatives and projects as assigned by the OBI Director.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree
Passion and self-motivation
Have a positive personality and able to be self-motivated when working in difficult and ambiguous situations.
Analytical Skills – ability to collect and analyze data to find root causes and implement solutions.
Communication and Influencing Skills – effective communicator who can convey ideas and influence people at all levels.
Project Management – ability to lead projects with a cross-functional team to deliver significant results.
Change Management – ability to deliver change positively while getting support from key stakeholders.
Team Player and Leader – excellent interpersonal skills and ability to motivate the project team.
Proficiency in Lean Six Sigma or other improvement methodologies – ability to apply and coach Lean Six Sigma tools and methodology.

Candidates who do not possess the stipulated qualifications but have relevant work experience may still apply. Remuneration and appointment terms shall commensurate with qualifications and experience. SMU reserves the right to modify the appointment terms where necessary.
