Moulding Production Supervisor
Working hours:
8:00 am to 5:45 pm, Monday to Friday
Salary Range:
$3,000 to $4,000
Location:
Woodlands
Key Responsibilities:
Production Supervision:
Lead and supervise daily injection moulding operations to meet production schedules for automotive components.
Allocate manpower and oversee machine operations across multiple moulding lines.
Ensure adherence to productivity targets, cycle times, and output efficiency.
Quality & Compliance:
Ensure all parts produced meet automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO
Work closely with Quality Assurance on in-process checks and non-conformance issues.
Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality deviations or customer complaints.
Moulding Process Control:
Oversee mould changeovers, machine start-up, shutdown, and parameter settings.
Optimize machine settings to improve product consistency and reduce scrap.
Troubleshoot process or equipment issues to minimize downtime.
Team Leadership:
Supervise and coach a team of moulding technicians, operators, and material handlers.
Conduct training on safe machine operation, work instructions, and 5S practices.
Evaluate team performance, manage shift handovers, and ensure discipline.
Maintenance Coordination:
Ensure daily machine maintenance checks are performed.
Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive and corrective maintenance on injection moulding machines and auxiliary equipment.
Safety & Workplace Management:
Enforce safety regulations and PPE usage at all times.
Promote a clean and organized work environment (5S, Kaizen).
Report and assist in investigating workplace incidents or near-misses.
Requirements:
3-5 years of injection moulding experience, preferably in automotive or precision plastic components.
Familiar with IATF 16949, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and other automotive quality tools.
Proficient in setting up machines such as Arburg, Sumitomo, Fanuc, or similar.
