Job Description

The primary role of the Cost Estimator is to prepare and analyze tenders for various construction projects. This involves preparing tender documents, conducting site visits to assess project requirements, and analyzing data to ensure accurate cost estimates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit tender documents, including cost estimates and schedules;
  • Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather information for cost estimation purposes;
  • Analyze data and market trends to ensure accurate cost estimates;
  • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure cost estimates are aligned with project goals;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and contractors to secure favorable pricing and terms.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field;
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in cost estimation and analysis;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software packages;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
