Job Description: Healthcare Manager - Food & Beverage
Position Summary
The Healthcare Manager - Food & Beverage is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and delivery of food and beverage services within a healthcare environment. This role ensures high standards of food safety, hygiene, and customer satisfaction, while supporting operational efficiency, compliance with healthcare regulations, and staff development.
Key Responsibilities
Food & Beverage Operations
  • Lead and manage the food & beverage operations within the healthcare facility, ensuring timely, safe, and high-quality meal service.
  • Develop and implement menus that meet nutritional, dietary, and cultural needs of patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Monitor daily operations to maintain service excellence, efficiency, and adherence to hospital policies.
Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene, workplace safety, and healthcare standards, including Eat Safe SG and risk management regulations.
  • Oversee audits, inspections, and quality assurance programs to maintain the highest standards of food safety.
  • Implement corrective action plans and continuous improvement initiatives.
Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead, train, and supervise food service and support staff, promoting teamwork and a positive working culture.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and staff development programs.
  • Motivate and support staff to deliver excellent service under pressure.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Collaborate with hospital administration, healthcare professionals, and external service providers to align food service operations with patient care priorities.
  • Act as a key liaison between the hospital management and catering teams, addressing service feedback and implementing improvements.
Financial & Administrative Management
  • Oversee budget planning, cost control, and resource allocation for food service operations.
  • Monitor vendor performance and manage procurement of food and beverage supplies.
  • Ensure accurate reporting, documentation, and compliance with contractual obligations.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Certified in Front Office Operations, Food Hygiene, Risk Management, and Quality Awareness.
  • Over 5 years of experience in Food & Beverage, Hospitality, and Healthcare support services.
  • Strong background in healthcare catering operations, hospital facility services, and staff leadership.
