Healthcare Manager - Food and Beverage

The role of the Healthcare Manager - Food and Beverage is a pivotal position within a healthcare environment. This individual oversees the planning, coordination, and delivery of food and beverage services ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the food & beverage operations to ensure timely, safe, and high-quality meal service.
  • Develop and implement menus that cater to the nutritional, dietary, and cultural needs of patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Maintain service excellence, efficiency, and adherence to hospital policies through daily operations monitoring.
Compliance and Safety:
  • Evaluate and maintain compliance with food hygiene, workplace safety, and healthcare standards including Eat Safe SG and risk management regulations.
  • Oversee audits, inspections, and quality assurance programs to uphold the highest standards of food safety.
  • Implement corrective action plans and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize performance.
Leadership and Team Management:
  • Recruit, train, and supervise food service and support staff promoting teamwork and a positive working culture.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and develop staff to achieve their full potential.
  • Motivate and support staff to deliver exceptional service under pressure.
Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Collaborate with hospital administration, healthcare professionals, and external service providers to align food service operations with patient care priorities.
  • Serve as a key liaison between hospital management and catering teams addressing service feedback and implementing improvements.
Financial and Administrative Management:
  • Oversight of budget planning, cost control, and resource allocation for food service operations.
  • Monitor vendor performance and manage procurement of food and beverage supplies.
  • Ensure accurate reporting, documentation, and compliance with contractual obligations.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Certification in Front Office Operations, Food Hygiene, Risk Management, and Quality Awareness.
  • Over 5 years of experience in Food & Beverage, Hospitality, and Healthcare support services.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proven experience in food safety management and healthcare compliance.
