Workers' Compensation (Insurance & Superannuation) The Compensation Specialist assists in the development and implementation of compensation projects and initiatives in the APAC region as well as contributing to global compensation initiatives. The role will serve as a subject matter expert and partner closely with HR teams across the region in evaluating and designing market-competitive compensation programs that attract, retain, and engage employees to help drive business success and further the employer brand. Asia Pacific covers the following markets: Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, Singapore, Cambodia, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao. DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Assist in the design of compensation policies/initiatives in the region to ensure competitiveness and administer the company’s compensation, benefits, and wellbeing programs in alignment with regional and global guidelines. Participate and provide full support in the year-end Comp Planning process, including developing guidelines, processes, consolidation of data, data validations, preparation of reports for reviews, and escalate issues/concerns when necessary. Participate and support efforts to improve existing compensation processes and/or develop new compensation processes. Conduct job benchmarking and market pricing exercises in APAC. Lead participation in various compensation surveys and work closely with the APAC HR teams to ensure accurate and high-quality submission on time. Perform data analysis and generate meaningful insights using internal data/metrics and external data/trends to drive pay decisions and program designs. Develop creative approaches and methods for consolidating and preparing data for various reviews and presentations. Research industry trends and evaluate market-driven solutions and vendors for compensation. Manage relationships, operations, and performance of compensation service vendors to ensure timely and accurate service deliveries. Provide proactive project management support for key compensation projects and initiatives in APAC through their various lifecycle stages to ensure successful completion and impact. Support the Sr. Manager, Compensation to ensure that compensation philosophy and programs are effectively communicated and driven within APAC by assisting with authoring, compiling, and editing communication and training materials. Support HR teams in the APAC region on day-to-day compensation and benefit matters such as new hires offers, market adjustments, provide data-based recommendations through benchmarking analysis, promotion increases, queries/issues, and escalate them where appropriate. Work closely with the APAC Corporate Communication team to create awareness of compensation programs and initiatives internally through engaging and creative communications that will benefit the employees regionally. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Skills: Must-Have: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and ability to interpret data. Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point. Knowledge of at least one of the following job frameworks is a must – Mercer, Towers Watson, Hay Group. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, and is proactive. Ability to communicate clearly, convincingly, and interact effectively across all levels and departments/functions, with sensitivity to cultural diversity in the region/globally. Ability to work collaboratively and take initiatives in a rapidly growing environment. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment including the ability to multitask, manage ambiguity, and adapt to shifts in priorities. Ability to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality. Mastery of the English language – reading, writing, and speaking. Good to have: Mandarin would be an added advantage (but not necessary). Experience: 5+ years of experience in Compensation (preferably in a regional/sub-regional setup). Experience in a multinational organization/international environment will be a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Education: Bachelors/Masters in any related field or equivalent industry experience (HR, marketing, finance, IT). #J-18808-Ljbffr
