About The Role As the Senior Technical Engineering Manager (Platform) , you will lead a high-performing team of DevOps, SRE, and Platform Engineers to design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure that supports our growing product ecosystem. You will partner closely with engineering and product leaders to drive technical excellence, operational efficiency, and platform innovation. This role requires a strong balance of strategic vision, technical depth, and people leadership to shape the future of our engineering foundation. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Platform, SRE, and DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability. Oversee backend and infrastructure architecture, ensuring system scalability, performance, and reliability. Drive delivery of complex, high-impact projects that span multiple engineering teams. Develop and execute a long-term technical roadmap for platform scalability, reliability, and security, aligned with business priorities. Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (GCP-preferred), ensuring best practices in automation, observability, and cost efficiency. Implement and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation (Terraform), and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker). Champion incident management and operational excellence, ensuring system resilience and high availability. Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and cost-effective solutions. Requirements 8+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). At least 3 years of direct people management experience in technical teams. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). Proven experience building and managing high-performing technical teams and driving delivery of complex engineering projects. Strong expertise in backend system design, architecture reviews, and cloud infrastructure management (GCP preferred). Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation, monitoring, logging, tracing, and incident management principles. Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and container orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker). Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Strategic thinker with the ability to balance technical innovation and business priorities. Good to Have Experience managing and scaling large-scale databases (relational and NoSQL). Expertise in network architecture, security best practices, and compliance frameworks. Proven ability to manage and optimize cloud costs. Exposure to data engineering tools (BigQuery, Looker) and analytics infrastructure. Demonstrated success in automating infrastructure performance tracking and controls. #J-18808-Ljbffr
